Padres 7, Diamondbacks 6: OMG! Padres win!

That was a crazy fun game. Lots of excitment. There were plays at the plate, safety squeezes, players falling over walls, home runs, etc. I watched the first half over at Jonny's house and then listened to the remainder on the radio while playing Candy Crush. I was crushing so much candy. The Padres did some crushing of their own.

2nd Inning

Miguel Montero homered to center field. It didn't look like the fence changes had any effect on the homer.

1-0 Diamondbacks

Chris Denorfia hit a hard single to center to score Jedd Gyorko, who coincidentally is my favorite player. Everth Cabrera followed up with a triple to score Denorfia. See you can still hit triples in Petco Park, ain't no thing.

2-1 Padres

4th Inning

Eric Chavez doubled to score Cody Ross. Chris Pennington hit into a fielder's choice to score Montero.

3-2 Diamondbacks

5th Inning

Yonder Alonso hit a two run monster homer into the Jack Daniels deck. Booyah.

4-3 Padres

7th Inning

Kyle Blanks hit a sharp single up the middle to score Guzman.

5-3 Padres

8th Inning

Everth Cabrera laid down a drag bunt that scored Will Venable on a safety squeeze. Chase Headley hit a double to score Denorfia.

7-3 Padres

9th Inning

Brad Brach Huston Street gave up a 3 run homer to Gerardo Parra that almost, but not quite, gave the game away.
