I was at a friend's birthday party last night and caught up with another old friend, Brendan. He spotted my Gaslamp Ball shirt and it reminded him of something that happened at work a few weeks ago. He works in customer service for DirecTV and got a call from a guy who wasn't able to watch the Padres' game. He was engaging in small talk while he tried to figure out what the problem was. He asked the guy if he was a Padres fan and dude responded in the affirmative. Then Brendan told him "You should check out Gaslamp Ball. It's the best Padres blog out there. My friend writes stuff for them." The guy said he would; hey, maybe he'll even join us here for this game thread.
