Today is Mother's Day. A day when MLB paints the league pink in order to recognize and bring awareness to Breast Cancer. Pink Equipment will then be auctioned off for research.
Whenever I see a pink bat I think of Larry Walker. Larry Walker used a pink bat on occasion and he did so when competing for the batting title with Tony the Gwynn. Rick Sutcliffe said it best "You can't win the batting title with a pink bat!"
So anyway, Mother's Day always reminds me of Larry Walker.
