If you gave up on the Padres and stopped watching after we hit rock bottom earlier this week, well then you were punished with, what very well could have been, the best series sweep the Padres have ever had the pleasure of delivering on the San Francisco Giants.
It was that good.
Today's game was a topper with the Padres winning with the home run. Alexi Amarista, Nick Hundley and Chase Headley all hit home runs. The Giants made an "attempt" to come back, but let's be honest, the sweep was not to be denied.
I hope everybody enjoyed that series. The Padres will now face the very very very beatable Chicago Cubs, and as much as it pains me to say it, I'm expecting us to get swept. Yes, the Cubs may turn around and defeat us because Padres.
But then again, that's what the Padres would be most likely to do, so I'm actually expecting us to sweep the Cubs.
BECAUSE PADRES.
Oh and since I was the one to pick up this game recap, go ahead and vote for the rating. I'll catch up on Game 1 of the series later.
I'm giving it another 10, just to let you know.
