Padres 2, Brewers 1: Streaks come to an end.

Two streaks came to an end tonight. The Padres six game losing streak and the Brewers nine game winning streak.

Jon and I went to the game and he kept distracting me, so let me see if I remember what happened. Edinson Volquez had his first really good start of the year. He threw 7 scoreless innings. Crazy right?

Carlos Quentin hit a colossal home run into the third deck of the Western Metal Supply building to give the Padres the lead in the 4th. If I remember correctly they said it went 392 feet.

Probably the most exciting play of the game when Nick Hundley scored in the 5th. He singled then was bunted to second by Volquez. Hundley had his head on a swivel and noticed no one was covering third so he swiped it. Rickie Weeks made an errant throw and Hundley went home. I missed most of it because I was eating Phil's BBQ at the time.

Huston Street wasn't able to shut down the Brewers and the team missed its chance to throw their first shutout of the year.

Here's the controversial last out of the game:

Final - 4.24.2013 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 R H E

LP: Marco Estrada (2 - 1)
