Opening Day defeat the worst in Padres' history

New, comments
Mike Stobe

You no doubt heard that yesterday's game against the Mets was the worst Opening Day loss in Padres' history. It was the worst since 1995 when the Padres were beaten by 8 by Houston. The best was in 1998 when they pummeled Cincinnati by 8. Maybe it's just me and my rose colored glasses but doesn't it seem like everything was better in 1998?
