The Tucson Padres' last two games have been postponed due to inclement weather in Colorado Springs. The last game they even tried to play, a 14-3 Tucson win on Monday, was called after five innings because of wind. One of the missed games will be made up today as part of a doubleheader; the other has been scheduled for June 27, the next time the TuPads are in town. With any luck, it won't be snowing then.
In accordance with minor league rules, each of today's games will be seven inning affairs. The first game begins at 10:05am, with Tim Stauffer getting the start for Tucson. Stauff was roughed up in his first start, allowing four runs, three earned, on seven hits and a walk in three innings of work. The lineup backing him against SkySox lefty Christian Friedrich is as follows:
CF Daniel Robertson
SS Gregorio Petit
LF Kyle Blanks
1B Cody Decker
2B Jonathan Galvez
3B Jesus Marchan
C Rene Rivera
RF Jaff Decker
P Tim Stauffer
Jorge Reyes will start the second game; both can be listened to for free online via 1290 AM: The Source.
