Spring Training Game(s) Thread: 03/15 Padres @ Royals, Padres vs. Dodgers, USA vs. PUR

Our Padres host the Dodgers in Peoria for one game while traveling to Surprise for a game against the Royals. Then, Team USA takes on Puerto Rico to determine who will advance to the semis.

HOME

Andrew Cashner will toe the rubber in Peoria against the Dodgers, making his second Spring start. He is scheduled for two innings. Anthony Bass will then toss three frames, followed by Arturo Lopez for two. Daniel Stange and Matt Stites are each scheduled for an inning.

AWAY

Meanwhile, Jason Marquis will make the start on the road in Surprise. He will go four or five innings against the Royals. Tim Stauffer will take over from there, pitching three frames. Brad Brach, Huston Street, and Joe Thatcher round out the rest of the scheduled pitching against KC.

Both games start at 1:05pm. Andy Masur will make his first broadcast of the Spring when he calls the game in Peoria. Catch the free webcast on padres.com.

WBC

And later, Team USA, who lost yesterday's matchup against the Dominican Republic despite Luke Gregerson's scoreless inning of work, will take on Puerto Rico in an elimination game. The winner will go on to the semifinals of the WBC at AT&T Park. If USA wins, Chase Headley will be joining Team USA the team in San Francisco to replace an injured David Wright. First pitch for tonight's game is set for 4pm and you can catch it on MLB Network.
