Tyson Ross began his professional baseball career in Oakland. Today he will make the start against the team that drafted and developed him when the Athletics visit our Padres in Peoria. Ross had his best start of the Spring his last time out when he held the Dodgers to three hits, two walks, and no runs through three innings. He also racked up four strikeouts. Ross will pitch three to four innings before giving it over to the bullpen.
Among those slated to throw in relief are Sean O`Sullivan, who will also pitch three to four innings, followed by Donn Roach for two. Brad Boxberger, Jason Ray, Miles Mikolas, and Huston Street are also on the docket if they are needed.
Padres starting lineup: Cabrera SS, Amarista CF, Headley 3B, Quentin DH, Blanks 1B, Hundley C, Buck LF, Galvez 2B, and Decker RF.
