SBN 2013 NL Cy Young Winner Was 1-3 Against Padres

The man who had his troubles with the Padres somehow gets an award for it.

USA TODAY Sports
Yeah, he won. And he was supposed to win. He ended up with 97% of the first place votes. The only other votes for 1st went to Matt Harvey, which I thought was a bit surprising. I had Harvey 5th on my ballot just because I figured I'd give him some kind of recognition on the ballot.

Like the title says, the Padres gave him trouble. Most HRs allowed to a team? 5 for the Padres. Most walks allowed against a team? 10 against the Padres. So what's he get? An award. Ah well.

Player Team 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th Points
Clayton Kershaw Los Angeles Dodgers 35 1 249
Adam Wainwright St. Louis Cardinals 14 13 6 1 108

Cliff Lee Philadelphia Phillies 7 8 11 5 79
Jose Fernandez Miami Marlins 6 8 6 13 73

Zack Greinke Los Angeles Dodgers 2 4
Jhoulys Chacin Colorado Rockies 1 1 3
Craig Kimbrel Atlanta Braves 1 2

For Gaslamp Ball, Wonko and I differed a bit on our votes. From first to 5th, I went Kershaw, Fernandez, Wainwright, Lee, and Harvey. Wonko went with Kershaw, Lee, Wainwright, Fernandez, and Zimmermann. For the American League, the votes went to Max Scherzer with 82% of the first place votes.
