The #Cubs will interview #Padres bench coach Rick Renteria for their managerial opening. Interview expected "soon".

Speculation arose, people started panicking. Probably. Tweets asking why the Cubs want everything that was good with the Padres took over timelines 140 characters at a time. But, fear not. Renteria, nor any of the other members of the coaching staff are going anywhere.
#Padres announce the club will bring back all seven members of Bud Black's coaching staff for 2014 season.
— San Diego Padres (@Padres) October 7, 2013
The Padres coaches are here to stay. At least, that's what some people thought regarding Jed Hoyer and Jason McLeod before they left America's Finest City for windier pastures in 2011.
Staying with Bud Black and Renteria are hitting coaches Phil Plantier and Alonzo Powell. Also staying on the staff are pitching coach Darren Balsley, bullpen coach Willie Blair, and base coaches Dave Roberts and Glenn Hoffman.
Granted, it's only October, so the 2014 season is sadly so far away. But for now, everyone in a Padres uniform (except Mark Kotsay) is staying.
