Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton always has the breaking news. Always.
This time it's about the newly named Mighty 1090.
Breaking Story...Mighty 1090 changes ownership...JMI-part of John Moores empire-purchases the station from our friends at Viejas-

I just knew we hadn't heard the last of John Moores. He's like a bad penny, always turning up. Of course, Moores is the former Padres owner who neglected the Padres for the better part of the last decade while reaping millions from the team and the surrounding ballpark property. If Moores is involved there must be a profit to be made in radio after all.
The Padres just negotiated a new contract with the Mighty 1090 in October that gives them broadcast rights through 2015.
Thank You to good people at Viejas-who put the Mighty 1090 on the air 10-years ago...Loyal-Caring people !

In other news, Viejas used to own the station? Who knew?
