Nick Hundley signed a $9 million contract extension in the Spring then immediately fell into a slump and like quicksand the more he struggled the more he sank. I think he tried to do too much by appointing himself team leader before the season started. He just needs to relax and let the failure wash over him, I do it everyday.

Due to those horrific numbers he was sent down in June where he was supposed to take the time to improve. He hasn't. He spent most of the time on the DL going without an AB from 7/16 to 8/5. Regardless Hundley is being rewarded with a call to The Show. Hope he forgets to pack his slump.

NC Times:

After hitting just .190 at Triple-A Tucson and spending time on the disabled list with a hamstring injury, Hundley will get a chance to right his season in the majors. The 28-year-old catcher was recalled after Wednesday's game and 26-year-old catcher Eddy Rodriguez was sent to Triple-A Tucson.

Unfortunately Yasmani Grandal who has out performed Hundley in every conceivable way is still on the 15 day DL with an oblique strain.
