Chase Headley has had a break out year and with that come rumors of Performance Enhancing Drugs. These rumors suggest that Headley's 21 home runs this season and 4 last year suggest foul play.
Serious question
— Friar Pain (@friarpain) August 23, 2012@martycaswell...how long before PED's enter into the conversation about Headley's 2012 season? Numbers don't lie.

Chase who is the MLBPA player representative for the Padres addressed these rumors.

"My wife said she saw something on the Internet, where somebody said something about it on Twitter or something," said Headley, asked if he’d heard any snickers or whispers of suspicion over his power surge in view of Cabrera’s suspension. "It’s really a shame that it’s come to that. Because I know what I’m doing. I know the results of the work I’m putting in, know that I’m getting more knowledgeable about my swing. It’s not me necessarily hitting the ball any harder. It’s learning how to hit correctly.
"What can you do? All you can do as a player is take the tests, pass the tests, and people will make their judgements."
Craig from 619Sports talked about this article on his radio show, which is where I hear about UT articles since they put up their pay wall.
This is the first I've heard of any rumors concerning Headley. I'd like to think he's clean, but with players getting busted a few times a year, you just never know.
