It was yet another fun game for us last night as our Padres took the series opener in Arizona behind the long ball and some fantastic pitching. Tonight we will try to get our longest win streak of the season going and lock up our second series win in a row.

The Diamondbacks will be sending out their former No. 1 prospect, Trevor Bauer, in his first start at Chase Field. The rookie superstar threw four innings last week against the Braves in his major league debut, giving up two runs on five hits before being lifted with a minor groin injury. He has recovered from the injury and tonight he hopes to be able to last longer on the mound against our Padres. He will, however, most likely be kept on a pitch count tonight, so it will be a matter of being efficient with his pitches and making each one count.

Trying to spoil Bauer's much-anticipated home debut will be Andrew Cashner, who will make his third start tonight and hopes to build off the success he saw in his last outing. He took a no-hitter into the seventh inning last Thursday in Houston, walking only one and striking out nine. He came out with a no-decision in the most awesome game of the season, but he pitched well and felt good. We'll see if he can keep throwing heat and have another phenomenal outing today against the Dbacks.

GO FRIARS!! KEEP THE FAITH!!
