There is currently "lots of interest" in San Diego Padres outfielder Carlos Quentin and third baseman Chase Headley, reports Jim Bowden of ESPN and Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com:

Heyman indicates that the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates have interest in Quentin. Beyond this trio of teams, the Miami Marlins, Detroit Tigers and Toronto Blue Jays have also expressed interest in Quentin this summer.

Heyman adds that the Padres would have to receive return they felt exceeds the draft pick compensation they’d get by simply allowing Quentin to walk at season’s end.

On the Headley front, ESPN’s Buster Olney tweeted this morning that he’s heard from one team that says the "highest market price they’ve encountered" is what the Padres are asking for their third baseman.

San Diego has said they’re willing to listen to offers for Headley, but based on Olney’s recent tweet it seems like they’re not inclined to move him unless they are blown away.
