This is my first look at Max "Green Tomatoes" Fried in action. He's a slender dude, at 6'4 and 180 pounds (which equates to a healthy BMI of 21.9), but he carries his weight in all the right places. The ladies know what I'm talkin' 'bout. He's a long-limbed, tall-torso'd, squinty-eyed son of a bitch who pitches with a lip curl that's somewhere between Elvis and Rambo.
His delivery looks pretty standard to my eye. Nothing too fancy. Just a clean over the top throw with a long stride and down hill motion.
This video changes camera angles every few minutes to give you different looks at his delivery, so jump around if you don't want to watch the full 8 minutes. I think my favorite part is at 6:28 when he puts his catlike reflexes on display as he sprints towards first base.
One day in the not so distant future when you've completely given up your Padres fandom your children will be able to tell you that they saw him pitch for the Padres. You'll be like "Who? Oh yeah I already saw him pitch on YouTube."
Can't wait! #GoPadres instagr.am/p/L6KFcjEXnR/
