After another tough loss to the A's last night, our Padres will try to scrape together a win and avoid getting swept today.
It seems like the team has made a 180 from the one that swept the Mariners just a few days ago. Hopefully Clayton Richard can right the ship and help us salvage a game today. He is coming off his first road win in almost a year. He gave up just one run in seven innings against Seattle to lead our Padres to a victory. Today he will try to make it two in a row and ruin Oakland's dreams of back-to-back sweeps.
Bartolo Colon will do his best to continue the A's winning streak. He will also try to continue his personal winning streak and go for his third straight win today. His last time out he gave up five runs in five innings, but got the win against the Rockies. Today he hopes to get the same kind of run support from the A's, something they've been pretty good at throughout their current streak.
It's Padres Day, everyone! If we can't win today of all days, then the season is pointless.
Just kidding.
GO FRIARS!! KEEP THE FAITH!!
