Our Padres evened up the series yesterday with a 5-2 win, their 20th win of the season. Today they will try to win their first series since May 18th-20th.
Anthony Bass will take the mound and try to earn his first win in five starts. His last time out he picked up a no-decision when he gave up four runs against the Giants. Over his last three starts, he has given up fifteen combined runs. He hopes to turn things around today and help our Padres get a victory.
Yovani Gallardo will make the start for Milwaukee. He has had some recent struggles too, allowing eight total runs in his last two starts. In his most recent start, he struck out ten, but gave up a couple of homers that cost him the game. Hopefully our Padres can capitalize on his mistakes today as well.

Our offense has been successful in giving our pitchers some run support lately, and hopefully they can continue that for Bass today. With a win here, our Padres would secure their second series victory against the Brewers this season. It'll be great to get the win today and go into the off day and interleague play on a high note.
GO FRIARS!! KEEP THE FAITH!!
