Padres lose in extras to Dodgers. Still winless.

The Dodgers had a basket of balls batting 6th in their line up. It went 2-4.

This was the closest the Padres have come to a win so far this season, it almost feels like it should count for something. If you're keeping track at home the Padres are 0-3 or 1-2 in moral victories.

The Pads were down 0-5 after 4 innings, but Dodger pitching (or lack thereof) allowed the Padres to climb out of the hole they dug for themselves. They managed to score 4 runs on a hit, a HBP and a butt load of bases loaded walks. Then Orlando Hudson came to the plate swinging and rifled a ball to left field, pouring the metaphorical gravy on top of the mashed potatoes. He then overran first base which led to Hundley being caught trying to go home. It was wild! Crazy too!

In any case the game was tied from the 5th until the 11th inning. I started to doze off in the latter innings but I think Dee Gordon drove in the go ahead run that would lead to the Dodger win.

I just realized Dex already wrote a post game thread. This will be part 2.
