Game 3 Preview: We're probably going to lose again

I was just listening to Radiolab where they were talking about how randomness works and how, over the course of 100 coinflips, it's not really out of the question for tails to come up seven times in a row. It's like a one in six shot.

And then they got to talking about Dr J's '76ers team and how they got "hot". And I kinda wasn't paying attention, but the hot streak was really just probably due to statistics or something.

All of that leads me to conclude that the Padres are probably going to lose again today. I'm not sure how I got to that point. I do have a solid understanding of statistics, but nevertheless, crunching the numbers shows that we're probably going to be pathetic today.

All of that is to say that I can't predict the future, so by predicting that the Padres will lose today, I have maybe made it so that they will win. I'm not sure how that works.

Here's a fancy table:

The Dodgers are probably based on like 3 great players, but yesterday they only needed two of them to crush us. Maybe they should let Matt Kemp hit with one hand tied behind his back today.
