Padres somehow lose to Giants, 2-1

I know that there will be some breed of Giants Fan who will think they are extremely clever by saying something like, "Of course the Padres lost! HAHAHAHA. Because Padres!"

If one of your Giants Fan buddies at work is that kind of Giants Fan, then you can safely categorize that particular Giants Fan as being fairweather and one who doesn't know anything about baseball and is trolling you.

The fact of the matter is, Tim Lincecum hasn't been great this season and he wasn't especially great this game either. Anthony Bass threw 6 2/3 of a perfect game before getting it broken up. A missed call. A couple tough plays and the Giants squeezed out their 2 runs to win the game.

The truth of the matter is that any Giants player or Giants fan who was actually around during the Giants World Series run in 2010 fears the Padres. If it's a Giants fan who just assumes that the Padres always lose to the Giants, then they only just recently became a Giants fan and you can rest assured that you are a better fan than your chump front runner co-worker.

Hold onto that as your solace as it's the only thing you have tonight.
