And the Padres have finally not lost a series this year and they manage to not lose a series in relatively impressive fashion, dropping the first two games, but storming back and dominating the final two.
There are lots of things that are forgivable. Strikeouts are forgivable if accompanied with an aggressive approach at the plate that results in offense. Errors are forgivable if the opposition's runs are kept to a minimum. Baserunning errors are forgivable when they don't kill momentum.
The Padres still don't play the cleanest of games, but all that dirty effort is forgivable in the face of striking out the opposing batters and taking advantage of the other team's errors and baserunning gaffs.
The Padres took advantage and, by the end of the weekend, looked a lot like they might be a better team than what their previous games had been suggesting.
Go Padres!
