The thing to remember about Cole Hamels is that he's never been a die hard fan of any baseball team, by his own admission. Growing up, he would root for the front runner, cheering on the 1998 Padres team, and then just put on his Dodger cap when the Padres would cycle back in the standings. Whether or not that matters to you or not makes no difference to me.
For me, it's just extra reason to root harder against this guy.
I mean, we're playing against his team. Our team has taken lumps. He's mocked our fan base (and make no mistake, just because somebody actually is fat doesn't mean that calling them fat in a derisive manner is not mocking them). Why wouldn't you root against this guy?
Probably a bunch of reason I guess.
Me? This would be best win of the season if we could run this guy early and smoke his team. Calling it right now.
