Rubber game for our Padres today. After letting an old man beat up on us last night, we will look to Clayton Richard to help us get our first series win of the season. Richard will be looking to bounce back from a bad outing in his last start against the Dodgers, when he allowed eight runs (four earned) in two innings. Hopefully that start was just a fluke and he will return to the form he was in when he led the team to its first 2012 win on Easter Sunday.
The Rockies will send Juan Nicasio to the mound, and he'll be hoping to feed off last night's win as he is coming off a bad outing as well. In three innings, he gave up six runs on five hits and five walks to the Diamondbacks.
Even though we lost to a guy who's a billion years old last night, the team eventually showed some fight. They came back and made it interesting towards the end. This is progress, people. Hopefully tonight they can just start fighting a little earlier in the game.
