Presser notes are more fun to take after a victory.
  • Cory had three pitches all working. Good live fastball, slider and the change.
  • A couple situations where he had to make some pitches and he did.
  • Good job moving fastball in and out. Got his grounders.
  • Good slider to the lefties. Good change to the righties.
  • On Cory pitching to Giambi: Cory's a guy that the team has a lot of faith in. Those types of ABs are good stepping stones for young hitters. Giambi's a great hitter and he's faced Cory before so there's really no secrets. Cory won the battle.
  • On the bats: It was good. Got it from the whole lineup including Luebke getting his RBI. "All the way down to Bartlett". Hermida hit the ball on the nose three times, but got nothing to show for it.
  • Good night for the offense. Good job by the pitchers. Clean defense in the field. When those things add up it's usually a victory.

O-Dog had the day off and Parrino started at second. COINCIDENCE!?!?!
