Our first rubbergame of the season comes against our venomous rivals, the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Anthony Bass gets the start today in place of one of the billion starters that we've recently had injured. This is pretty much exactly the sort of thing that Anthony Bass was waiting on this season. If you'll remember with me, he started a few games towards the end of last season after Tim Stauffer went down to surgery and now that Tim Stauffer is among the billion starters we've recently had injured, it only makes sense for Bass to come in and do more of the same as he did in 2011.
The Diamondbacks send out Ian Kennedy. If it were any month besides April, logic might tell me things I don't want to know about Ian Kennedy against the Padres. Since I root blindly this month, Ian Kennedy is nothing more than a minor bump in the way of our March Towards .500!
ONWARD .500! ONWARD AND UPWARD! THIS GINGER HAS NO SOUL! FEAR NOT THE RED HAIR!
Hello. I'm glad that you joined me after the jump. This is not part of your regularly scheduled Game Preview.
Are you on Facebook or Twitter? Did you know that Gaslamp Ball has a presence on Facebook and/or Twitter? It's a great way to get closer to us and get keyed in when things are happening and have conversations outside of the types of conversations you might get within the comment sections, which are awesome, but can get crowded and intimidating.
We're not intimidating on Facebook and/or Twitter. Come. Join us.
We don't give away stuff through contests or have deals on tickets nearly as often Friarhood does, but the perks are awesome. What are the perks? How about when you see Padres or Fox Sports San Diego front office people, you can mention you're from Gaslamp Ball and they'll be nice to you? Maybe they won't talk to you, but they'll be at least 8% friendlier than if you were just some random. It's true. It's worked for Jonny Dub. How about pizza feeds? We've had like 2 of those. Tweetups? I once hung out with Neil the Beerman in Seattle and it was amaze. Jordan Ming came down from Oregon and instantly had like a dozen friends at Spring Training and in San Diego.
And if we really like you, there's no need for a contest. We'll probably just give you stuff or let you do stuff on our behalf that gets you into cool events. Just because that's how we are. Ask Matto or Jodes or TTG about that kind of thing.
And the one thing we ask is that you help us get more like minded people in here. And the easiest way to do that is to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.
Thanks for your consideration.
