Padres GM Josh Byrnes told the media that they've been "slightly busier" this afternoon at the Winter Meetings.
Cashner was acquired in a trade with the Cubs for Anthony Rizzo last winter with the hopes of turning him into a starter. Cashner promptly strained a lat after making a few starts. Rizzo is reportedly in good health.
