Hopefully I'm not stepping on TheThinGwynn's toes too much here, but I have some baseball cards I'd like to share. Now, these aren't Topps, Upper Deck, or even Donruss. This is Mother's Cookies brand, the most delicious of brands!
I got this as a present from a coworker. Seems his grandmother had it in her garage and was clearing stuff out. I believe it to be some sort of mail-order offer. The sheet has 28 cards including the checklist card. They aren't perforated. They are in a plastic frame, which I'm not sure is original with the cards or not.
Not only is this a great gift because it's the padres....but it also happened to be for a great year: 1998. Can't go wrong with Tony Gwynn, Trevor Hoffman, and Andy Ashby.
Maybe I should be embarrassed, but there are a couple guys on here that I don't remember at all. Pete Smith? Eddie Williams?
I think it's cute that they left a space for the player to autograph.
