The Louisville Slugger Museum will be honoring Tony Gwynn as its 6th Living Legend recipient on November 9th. They'll be selling 100 limited edition autographed bats of his preferred model B267C Louisville Slugger for $325. Included with the purchase of a bat are two tickets to the celebration. Proceeds from the sales of these special bats will benefit the TAG Foundation.
"Throughout my entire baseball career I was a very proud member of the Louisville Slugger family," Gwynn said. "It is a great honor to be recognized by Louisville Slugger. I am grateful that Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory is supporting TAG and helping youngsters accomplish their dreams of attending college."
A prestigious award from a prestigious organization.
Meanwhile, Louisville Slugger is also electing players into its Baseball Hotties Hall of Fame. Gwynn was snubbed in this category but a proud Yankee and reluctant former Padre, one Dave Winfield, has been nominated and with good reason.
