Between the Great San Diego Blackout and the baseball game, Arizona sure did us dirty last night. We'll try to get back at them with a win tonight behind Mat Latos. In his last start, he gave up just two runs in seven innings while striking out eight batters. The victory ended a streak of four games without recording a win. Tonight, he will try to get back-to-back wins for only the second time this season. Jesus Guzman is back in the lineup after getting the night off last night, so hopefully he continues to swing a hot bat and helps us get a win tonight.

The Diamondbacks, who are 7.5 games up on the second-place Giants, needs to win 12 of their remaining 18 games to clinch the division. Tonight they will kick off their World Championship Reunion Weekend as they celebrate the tenth anniversary of their franchise's 2001 World Series Championships. They will send Daniel Hudson to the mound. He is riding a hot streak of three straight wins and has posted a 1.19 ERA in those three games.

The Padres will try to make things difficult for the Dbacks and prolong the day when they clinch the National League West. We may have lost this season, but we can still play spoiler in this last stretch of baseball. Arizona blacked out our city last night. Let's black out their scoreboard tonight.

GO FRIARS!! KEEP THE FAITH!!
