Gotta get back in the game recap habit. Let's see what happened, what happened...
Corey Luebke controlled the game, like a boss. He said, "Here, I'm just gonna throw fastballs." And the Mets hitters were like, "What manner of trickery is this?" And Luebke said, "No srsly... Lemme just throw these balls right over to you. My arm kinda does something all cockeyed as I'm doing it, but they're just fastballs." And the Mets hitters were like, "SORCERY!"
And then what was nice was the Padres hitters were actually hitting not so bad. Mets starter, Jon Niese was confused by the Padres pathetic yet effective approach.
"It’s unfortunate, I didn’t think they hit any balls particularly hard, they just hit them where we weren’t," Niese said. "I thought I executed some pitches, worked the changeup quite a bit. But it’s one of those things where it’s kind of a little bit of bad luck."
I guess Li'l Jonny Niese wasn't there for my recent lesson in what it takes to kick someone's ass. It doesn't take "particularly hard" hitters. It just takes two feet: One for your ass and one to properly stabilize the leg while counterbalancing during the kicking motion of said ass. BELIEVE IT!
Also, Logan Forsythe hit a ground rule double. It's just sad that we'll be losing that guy's name to Hollywood once Dallas premiers on TBS next season.

I'm disappointed at the turnout tonight, especially considering matthewverygood AND Drama made an appearance.
