Today we've got game three of a four-game series against Houston. The Padres evened up the series last night in a 3-1 win over the Astros. Chris Denorfia hit a solo homerun last night that made me want to cry tears of joy. It's good to see him succeeding here at the major league level. Bud Black was ejected in the fourth inning last night, which may or may not have contributed to the win. That was his 13th ejection in his 4+ years as a manager. Some people thought it was a silly thing to argue and get thrown out for, but I always like to see him defending and sticking up for his team (in this case Dustin Moseley).
Today we've got Aaron Harang vs. Aneury Rodriguez on the mound. Harang has been solid in his last three starts, giving up just three earned runs over 21 innings, but has emerged with no-decisions in all three. We're gonna need our offense to stay hot and give Harang run support like they gave Moseley last night. Also, we're gonna need our defense to lay another goose egg in the errors column.
I'm assuming a bunch of Gaslamp Ballers will be at the game today. If anyone would like to give me their Padres garden gnome, I would be very grateful. =]
GO FRIARS!! KEEP THE FAITH!!
