We open a three-game series today against the Braves. Aaron Harang will toe the rubber for our Padres. In his start against the Braves in April he was lit up, giving up eight runs on seven hits and three walks, so he will be looking for redemption against Atlanta. He has pitched 15 innings and only given up one earned run in his last two starts.
The Padres offense is coming off a series win. Yesterday they snapped an 11-game streak in which they didn't score more than three runs per game and hit .109 with runners in scoring position. Throw in the fact that the Padres are 14-7 (best record in the Majors) in day games this season, and you have to feel good going into this game.
Happy Memorial Day, everyone! Hope you all have a great one and remember why we celebrate today.
GO FRIARS!! KEEP THE FAITH!!
