Here we are, back home at Petco Park after a .500 road trip. During that road trip, we got a taste of what not-last-place is like. Boy, did it taste good.
Dustin Moseley is on the mound for our Friars tonight. In his last outing he gave up six runs on nine hits in four innings to the Rockies in Coors Field. Hopefully he will come through for us in pitcher-friendly Petco Park, and hopefully our offense can come through for him. They will be facing Yovani Gallardo, who is 4-2 with a 4.88 ERA coming into the game.
So here's to winning tonight, and to the Braves beating the Dbacks. Here's to giving Bartlett and Hudson a reason to enjoy playing at home more than playing on the road. Here's to keeping all the foulweathers in hiding by getting back to our winning ways. And here's to getting out of the NL West cellar and starting our journey to first place. Because I can't wait until I'm once again able to yell out "WINSIES! BRO HYMN! FIRST PLACE PADRES! IT'S THE FRIAR, B_TCH!" during climax... I mean, after Padres wins.
GO FRIARS!! KEEP THE FAITH!!
P.S. Today's word is "apple."
