Game Thread: 5/15, Padres @ Rockies

Hey kids! I hope you've all had a good breakfast and are ready to watch our Padres stick it to the Rockies.

We've seen somewhat of an offensive surge here in Colorado. The team stayed in the game on Friday up until about the eighth inning, and yesterday they scored eight unanswered runs in the last three innings of a 9-7 win that was capped off by a game-winning 2-run homer by former Rockie Brad Hawpe. Headley had to leave the game yesterday in the 4th with a right ankle sprain, so he won't be in the lineup today. Hopefully it's not serious and he only misses a day or two.

In today's rubber game, Mat Latos will try to win his first game since September 7, 2010 and the Padres will try to get their fourth series win of the season. I don't know about you guys, but I have a good feeling about this game. We are coming off a good win, Mat is fired up and hungry for that first win, and the team in general is playing better.

Let's hope we see lots of Padres touching home plate today and few, if any, Rockies touching home plate. We already know they're not very good at that. GO PADRES!! KEEP THE FAITH!!
