There were a lot of tourists in the stands at the game today. Occasionally I'd hear the ballpark come alive and I'd be jolted awake from my afternoon nap and do a double take because they were cheering for the Giants instead of the Padres.
They seemed pretty pleased with themselves too, patting themselves on their collective backs real good. Don't believe the hype. These are terrible fans, despite what they want you to believe there were only 24,368 fans in attendance. It's an obvious sign that they've become content with their past success. Their team won the World Series just a few months ago and they can't even support them enough to sell out our ballpark!
Anyway, the Padres lost, but if they wouldn't have given up 4 runs with two outs in the 6th and then scored all the base runners in the 9th the score would have been reversed. Think about that!
Go Padres!
