Without Jonathan Sanchez guaranteeing a sweep and Mat Latos hating SF, this would just be another boring Spring Training game, instead, I'm psyched. Sometimes I think that people forget that baseball is meant to be entertaining.
Discuss the Padres with U-T Sports Writer Bill Center
Mick: Speaking of Latos, do pro sports teams ever use sports psychologists to help the mental aspect of players' games? It might be helpful for someone like Mat.
Bill Center: Yes. And I think that might be a good idea. His reaction to two bad outings this spring has been very unusual. And Friday night he faces the Giants in Scottsdale. Could be interesting given his "I hate S.F." ball campaign of earlier this spring. Didn't go over well in World Championship land.
