To me, if something is going to announce visually to you that it is a candy factory, it should be able to produce candy. At least, this was my philosophy before I got the Big V. Now, I have a new philosophy surrounding the visual intent of something and what it is actually able to do. Like, I look at the Showley Brothers Candy Factory now and even though I know that nothing of use ever comes from it anymore, I can look back fondly on the candy that was previously sired from its impressive brick colored exterior. It does not really matter that the "factory" is disconnected from anything to do with candy now. The lines have been severed and cauterized to ensure that nothing of value ever comes from this place again, but there it still is. Taking up space for show.
