Dan Hayes is reporting that Chris Gwynn is going to become the director of player development for the Hated Seattle Mariners, the Padres natural rival. Considering that the Padres and Mariners share a Spring Training Facility with the hated Mariners, it was only a matter of time before they displayed a d_ck move that the Pacific Northwest is known for.

I mean, Chris Gwynn, Mariners? Touche.

At this rate, maybe we are getting decimated.

Chris Gwynn is best known to Padres fans as the light hitting uncle of light hitting former Padre, Tony Gwynn Jr, who is the son of Hall of Famer, Tony the Gwynn. Chris Gwynn was promoted to Padres Director of Player Personnel in December of 2009 and, in late September of this year, had his contract extended through 2013.

In other news, front office contracts mean sh_t.
