The Fabulous Baker Boys score Dirty Dozen

For some reason I just felt this might be a let down game after taking two close games and the series from the Reds. As the game started and Votto hit a home run and gave the Reds and early lead, I verbalized to myself "Here we go..."  To my delight the Padres quickly answered back when Adrian Gonzalez and Yorvit Torrealba hit two huge home runs to take the lead back.  I was thinking "Oh dang the Pads are out for blood.  We got this!"

I stopped watching the game after the Reds took a 4-2 lead.  Then  at Jon's wedding, to my disappointment, I got an update that it was 6-2 Reds.  My heart sunk.  Now hours later I find out that the Reds dropped an even billion runs on us.  To make matters worse the Giants took the lead back in the NL West.

This is the time of year where I start thinking about all of those games we could have won... the games we should have won.  Oh well, nothing we can do about it now.

Four home games left against the Cubbie Bears.  Finish strong Padres!

In other news, we got Jon married off and the final song of the night was, the Padres victory song, Macy Gray's "Beauty in the World".
