Open Thread, 6/11/2010: Padres vs Rockies

And here we are, the end of the first half of the season [By number of games we actually reached the first half of the season a game ago]. The Rockies are looking strong and Huston Street looks to solidify the back end of games now [He still only has a .4 WAR on a small sample size. Heath Bell has a 1.4.].

I'd like to end the first half of the season with a win and at least a lead in first place [Then you already did that because the first half of the season happened already], but in the end, we've fought to reclaim first place before and the team has it in them to do it again [Not while payroll is under $40 million and Chris Denorfia, Tony Gwynn, Scott Hairston, and/or Aaron Cunningham is/are patrolling the outfield regularly].

Salvaging a game in the series will be great for moral. Stay positive peeps! [You misspelled "morale" and forgot a comma before "peeps", which actually isn't even a word. Work on your typing.]

GO PADRES!!! [Extra exclamation points is frowned upon, especially considering the emphasis was already placed using all-caps.]
