Hmm. I feel like that title should have been better, but I just couldn't figure out how to word it..
Anyway that was a thrilling end to the game. Heath Bell came in to save the game with two outs in the 8th to face Evan Longoria. He struck him out on 5 pitches. In the 9th Bell gave up a deep fly ball out that made me light headed for a minute, but Hundley gunned down a base thieving Ray and Bell struck out the last batter to finish the game.
I missed most of Latos' outing but I'll catch the replay. Looks like he's our new ace, but nobody tell him that, I think he'll pitch better without those kinds of expectations.
I would love for the Pads to take tomorrow's game and the series. Go Padres!
