Game Thread: 5/27 Padres vs. Cardinals

I'm so looking forward to today's Throwback Thursday game. There will be no Jock Jams, no offensive digital Friar stomping, no lunatic In Game Entertainment Host yelling "WOOO!" and no fireworks or flame throwers. Just peaceful Organ music and the sounds of the game.

By the way, if you picked up this homestand's copy of Blue Print magazine you can read a nice story about the man who plays organ for the Pads. There's also an article about the In Game Host, tear that out and throw it away without reading.

You couldn't have a more perfect day in San Diego. I was just downtown an hour ago and the city looks amazing. I'm planning on relaxing in my seat with a radio and listening to Ted and Andy call the game. That's something I haven't been able to do for a long time since the PETCO sound system is so obnoxiously loud. Today and every Throwback Thursday is a day when you don't have to worry about your senses being assaulted for 3 hours straight, this is how baseball was meant to be.

Padres attempt to sweep the Cardinals this afternoon.

Go Padres!
