The Padres win and Jed Hoyer is forced to hang onto Adrian Gonzalez for another week. While you guys are busy play pretending that the Padres would actually pick up a bat for the lineup or an arm to the staff (hint: never going to happen), I'm concerning myself with the much more realistic prospect of Adrian Gonzalez getting traded as soon as the Padres taste third place.
PRIORITIES, PEOPLE.
In other news, I still stand by my prediction that as long as Will Venable sees regular starts for this team, he will be the Padres first cycle. I watch ya'll crackin' on my boy Will when he's bidin' his time, but he's gonna make history for this team. I ain't mad atcha. After all...
In any case... while Venable was going for his own personal fortune and glory, Adrian Gonzalez was busy winning the game like a f_ckin' teammate. Jon Garland did his part by making the game last a solid hour longer than it should have so that we could all relax and enjoy the evening.
P.S. Can somebody photoshop Bob Scanlan's hair onto John Weisbarth's body and vice versa? Don't try it unless you're halfway decent at photoshop. Thanks.
