Chris Young to miss Monday start - SignOnSanDiego.com
The Padres announced Friday morning that right-hander Chris Young has been scratched as the starting pitcher in Monday afternoon’s home opener at Petco Park due to tightness in his surgically repaired right shoulder.
Kevin Correia will take his place. Oh and it's going to rain. Opening Day bad news keeps coming.
I remember during the off season wondering who would fill in for Young when he inevitably ended up on the DL. Fortunately it's not that serious... yet. That guy is brittle, his arm is made of tinker toys, but his hips are like an anvil.
