- Anthony Gwynn Jr. was batting something like .133 entering the game, but swatted a 2 run homer and ran out an infield hit.

Adrian Gonzalez hit the first bases loaded pitch he saw for a Grand Slam that put the game way out of reach. Yay! It was his first Grand Slam since Game 163. Boo!
- Sean Gallagher entered the game and did everything short of grabbing a bat for the Reds to try and help them get back into the game.
