Open Thread, 4/16: Padres vs Diamondbacks or The importance of being slow

How you sound, B? You're better off a quitter.
I'm on the mound, G. And it's a no hitter.
I don't know how I keep ending up with Jon Garland's starts, but I do.

Jon Garland starts are a nice time to just relax and sip a beverage slowly. Tea or something. Not anything too mind numbing. Garland's deliberate nature makes it so that anything alcoholic will numb you out all extra like.

It's also a nice time to reflect and ponder. You have plenty of time to keep score, even if you don't know how to keep score. I've always thought that it would be really zenlike to keep score using giant paint brushes like at 1:04...

With a Jon Garland start, you could probably pull this off.

I'm going to ask Mentor if I can do this as performance art one day. I'll just go through reams and reams of paper as I keep score using giant boxes and a 5 foot paintbrush.

Nothing of use in this Open Thread. Garland is 0-2, but I like our chances. Edwin Jackson goes for the Snakes.

GO PADRES!!!
