I was looking at my Lane Field Padres books, and it hit me that next year is going to be the 75th anniversary of the Padres in San Diego. It would be nice for the Padres to celebrate the milestone in some way. Bobby Doerr was a member of that 1936 team, and is still kicking and maybe he can be involved in some way (though I'm not sure how mobile he is, seeing as he'll be 93 at the start of next season). I know the Padres wore PCL throwbacks a few years ago, maybe they can do a 1936 throwback day on a Throwback Thursday.
Hopefully they already have something in the works to honor the history that goes back 3 decades before they were in the NL.
