Doesn't it feel like forever since we've won a game? I know we've won recently and we've even gone so far to win two in a row relatively recently, but losing over and over is like a slog.
Here's what we need to do: Keep your heads up and keep pushing through. Be awesome. I'm pretty confident that we won't be winning tonight, so just prepare yourself for that. Do terrible things out of frustration, but make sure you make note of those things so when stuff goes good, you'll have some fun stories to share.
For example, I'm planning on getting so frustrated tonight that I'm going to drop ice cubes down my underwears, sit down heavily on the floor, and then moan like a stray cat on a moonlit night.
Then, later, when times are good and we're reminiscing about how bad it used to be, I'll be able to say, "Remember when the Padres lost to the Marlins like 23-2 and three more starters got injured and we had to call up the rest of our Rookie League team? That was the day I dropped ice cubes down my underwears, sat down heavily on the floor, and then moaned like a stray cat on a moonlit night."
Go Padres.
